DJI Osmo Action 4 pricing leaks ahead of late July release
Leaker Igor Bogdanov, posting as @Quadro_News, has shared pricing details for the Osmo Action 4, DJI's next-generation action camera. To recap, specifications for the Osmo Action 4 emerged earlier this week courtesy of the likes of @camerainsider and Bogdanov himself. DJI has also hinted at the release of its next action camera, which may occur before it unveils the Air 3.
As the screenshot below shows, the Osmo Action 4 is expected to start at US$399 with a Standard Combo package. If the Action 3 is anything to go by, the Osmo Action 4 Standard Combo will ship with an Extreme Battery, a Horizontal-Vertical Protective Frame and various accessories covering most use cases. However, a US$399 launch price would represent a 21% increase between generations.
Conversely, the Osmo Action 4 Adventure Combo is said to retail for US$499, a 13% and US$60 uplift over the Osmo Action 3 Adventure Combo. For reference, DJI bundled the Adventure Combo with a second Extreme battery, a battery case and a 1.5-metre Extension Rod compared to the Standard Combo, plus other accessories. DJI will introduce the Osmo Action 4 on July 25 with a 1/1.3-inch sensor and capabilities for shooting 4K 60 FPS or 120 FPS footage. The Osmo Action 4 should also support 10-bit and D-LOG M video colour profiles, among other features.
