Casio's new GBA-950 G-Shock watches launch with step tracking and Strava compatibility

Alongside the new analog Pro Trek models, Casio has now added the GBA-950 to its G-Shock lineup on the international store, launching three new analog-digital variants for runners and everyday fitness users. The three models, GBA-950-1A4 in black with an orange dial, GBA-950-7A2 in white with a blue dial, and GBA-950-9A3 in yellow-green with a dark dial — are now listed as new arrivals. However, pricing has not yet been confirmed on the international site.
The GBA-950 is designed around fitness connectivity rather than outdoor sensors. It pairs with Casio's smartphone app via Bluetooth for automatic time adjustment and GPS-assisted distance calibration, and the whole series carries Strava compatibility. On the watch itself, the lifelog system tracks step count, calorie burn, and distance throughout the day, with daily data visible directly on the dial.
The stopwatch is properly spec'd for running use. It can store up to 45 records per session with lap and split timing, distance, pace, and average pace per lap all logged. An interval timer supports up to five time settings, which should cover most structured workout formats.
Hardware-wise, the case measures 48.5 x 43.9 x 16 mm and weighs 53 g. The case and band use bio-based resin throughout, and there's mineral glass up front with 200-meter water resistance. Battery life is rated at approximately two years on a CR2025 cell. The band uses what Casio describes as origami engineering for fit, with an integrated bezel and band construction to reduce pressure points during activity.
The donut-shaped analog-digital dial layout keeps both display types readable simultaneously. The watch also has a hand-shift feature that moves the analog hands clear when the digital display needs full visibility.
