Casio has launched the One OK Rock collaboration watch, the GM2100TTTR-8A, in the US. Recent rumors suggested that the wearable could launch in this market. This exclusive watch celebrates the band’s 20th anniversary, and was also officially launched in Japan on April 10th, where it has already proven popular.
The G-Shock GM2100TTTR-8A, known as the GM-2100TTTR-8A in other markets, has an octagonal stainless steel bezel surrounding a black dial with a cherry blossom pattern. This is accompanied by a matte white semi-transparent band. The hybrid watch has a small inset digital display and subdial; the latter features a katana, a Japanese sword, indicating the day of the week.
Features include world time in 48 cities, with a fully automatic calendar to the year 2099 and 12 or 24 hour formats. There is a 1/100th second stopwatch, five daily alarms and a countdown timer with a 24-hour range. A double LED backlight helps you to read the watch in low lighting. Plus, the watch offers 200m water resistance and an estimated three-year battery life on two SR726W batteries.
As expected, you can now buy the Casio One OK Rock G-Shock GM2100TTTR-8A watch in the US for $300. This makes it more expensive than similar models like the GM2100-1A (curr. $171.90 at Amazon). The watch is also available at the Casio online store in countries like Singapore, Taiwan and the Philippines. It is unclear whether or when this product could be launched in other markets like Europe.
