Tuseno has launched a new second-generation Shellback V2 watch. The mechanical timepiece comes with significant upgrades over the first-generation Shellback. This time around, Tuseno has upgraded a caliber and offers more color options than before. More specifically, the Shellback V2 now features a new Sellita SW200-1 movement with 41 hours of power reserve.
According to the company, this automatic movement guarantees accuracy between –20/+7 seconds a day. The new Sellita engine beats at a 4 Hz (28,800 vph) frequency, features 26 jewels, and can be adjusted in three positions compared to the previous generation caliber. The timepiece features a sandwich-style layout, boasting a 40 mm stainless steel case complemented by a lume-coated 120° unidirectional bezel.
The Tuseno Shellback V2 comes with a yellow/black/blue/white dial adorned with a date window at the 6 o’clock position and Super-LumiNova-coated dark grey plated hands and hour markers, which emit a shade of light blue for better visibility in darker conditions. Plus, a double-domed sapphire crystal on top of the dial protects it from accidental scratches and falls.
Furthermore, the case is paired with a 20 mm stainless steel flat-link style bracelet with polished chamfers and a diver clasp. However, it lacks micro-adjustment on the clasp. The V2 has 200 m (20 bar) of water resistance, meaning it’s built to withstand every water adventure.
Available in bold yellow-black, classic white-black, stealthed out DLC-white, and vintage-inspired black-gilt colorways, you can now pre-order the Tuseno Shellback V2 via Tuseno’s official website for $749. As a part of the launch offer, the company is also offering a $100 discount and a free black rubber strap.
