Casio has officially unveiled two new G-Shock watches in the US. The GM-110BD-1A9 and GM-110D-BA are large-case analog-digital watches featuring metal bezels and bands, offering a more premium take on the classic rugged design.
The G-Shock GM-110BD-1A9 is the more premium of the duo and features a gold dial framed by an all-black ion-plated stainless steel bezel and band. Meanwhile, the GM-110D-8A has a clean silver finish and a gunmetal gray dial. Casio emphasizes that the metal isn't just for show and that these watches are every bit as tough as your typical G-Shock. The hefty stainless steel bezels reportedly undergo advanced forging, cutting, and polishing to achieve their complex, high-impact shape without sacrificing durability. And to keep the internal module safe from knocks and drops, the metal bezel sits atop a glass fiber-reinforced resin case—a familiar combo for G-Shock’s metal-clad models. Casio also points to the dial's layered construction, designed to create an "impressive sense of depth," complemented by metallic index markers at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock positions, which the company says have been further refined to accentuate the metallic texture.
The G-Shock GM-110D series comes with all the classic G-Shock features including 200-meter water resistance and the brand's legendary shock resistance. You also get practical features like a Super Illuminator LED light for visibility, world time covering 31 time zones (48 cities), five daily alarms, and a full auto-calendar good until 2099.
As for pricing and availability, the silver GM-110D-1A9 is priced at $300, while the black and gold GM-110BD-8A costs a bit more at $350. Both watches are available to buy now directly from Casio’s website and authorized G-Shock retailers across the US.
