The Casio Ring Watch CRW001G-9 is now available in the US. This gold version of the wearable launched in Japan earlier this year, and it is already available in other markets like Europe. In the US, it arrives almost a year after the original silver model, the CRW001-1.
You can now buy the Casio Ring Watch CRW001G-9 at the brand’s online store in the US for $155. That makes it $20 more expensive than the original silver version of this product, which is currently out of stock on the site. Casio does not note any stock limitations, but it is worth remembering that the older CRW001-1 has sold out multiple times in this market.
Casio’s CRW001G-9 is a miniature digital watch with a positive (light background) display at its centre. This model has a gold ion-plated stainless steel casing, which is said to be water resistant, and it can be adjusted to fit ring sizes from 16 to 22. It runs on an SR621SW battery, with an estimated life of two years.
The CRW001 ring watch supports dual time, with users offered a range of time zones. There is a 1/100th second stopwatch, and you can get daily and hourly time flashes. The calendar is automatic, and the screen can be illuminated thanks to a white LED backlight. Whether or when this product could be sold via other retailers, like at the brand’s Amazon storefront, remains to be seen.
