CD Projekt Red has developed numerous successful games, such as The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, which has sold 35 million copies. But currently, several projects are being developed, and this studio has decided to recruit 50 additional developers, bringing the total to 851 employees.
It was during the latest Q3 2025 presentation that CD Projekt Red has revealed this information, and the distribution between the different projects. Thus, 447 developers are currently working on The Witcher 4 and 135 are working on Cyberpunk 2. In addition, other projects are also involved, such as Project Sirius, which could be a live service game, with 56 developers, and Project Hadar, with 29 employees.
And if the teams have been reinforced, this seems to indicate that CD Projekt Red wants to avoid delays. It must be said that many fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the next games. Indeed, The Witcher 4 caused a sensation when it was announced during The Game Awards in December 2024. And since then, many rumors circulate about it, even if it will not be released before 2027.
Regarding Cyberpunk 2, it is also eagerly awaited by fans. And although CD Projekt Red has decided to recruit new developers, the studio estimates that between 350 and 500 developers will be needed. This shows the scale of the project, and it is also possible to imagine a multiplayer mode for this title, which is not expected to be released before 2030 or 2031.
