Asus is planning a handful of new accessories that will be announced this summer, and among the new products is a new controller. A teaser for the gaming accessory shows it has a display and will likely have an 8,000Hz polling rate.

Last August, Asus released the ROG Raikiri II at Gamescom 2025 as a wireless controller with support for Xbox consoles and Windows PCs. Now, Asus has begun teasing another controller, and there's a chance it is the Raikiri II Pro, a successor to the ROG Raikiri Pro PC controller released in 2023.

The official ROG account on Weibo has shared a teaser video for an upcoming controller that is scheduled for launch this summer. The teaser video tries to keep the overall design of the controller a secret, but still reveals a few details. First, the grips on the controller will have a textured finish that is a motif of the word “ROG”.

There's also a screen on the controller, just like on the Raikiri Pro. What is interesting is that the screen displays the figure “8000”, hinting at the controller having an 8,000Hz polling rate. For comparison, the ROG Raikiri II (curr. available on Amazon for $149.99) has a 1,000Hz polling rate, an improvement over the 250Hz polling rate of the Raikiri Pro.

Asus's new controller has a display like the ROG Raikiri Pro (pictured).

If this controller is indeed the Raikiri Pro 2 and it has an 8,000Hz polling rate, it will be going up against controllers such as the GameSir Tarantula 8K PC and GameSir G7 Pro 8K series which includes the Aimlabs Edition and the Royal2 Signature Edition.

There's still a lot we don't know about the new ROG controller such as whether it has Xbox support like the Raikiri II. However, we expect it to launch with TMR joysticks, adjustable triggers, and customizable rear buttons. There's no launch date yet for the controller, but it most likely won't be long before it is announced.
