The Aqara Smart Hub M100 has appeared in a series of Amazon listings. This new smart home product was first spotted in the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) database and was subsequently unveiled at CES 2025. Then, in March, the device was launched in China.
Now, the new Aqara Hub M100 has been listed at Amazon in countries including the US, the UK, Canada, and the Netherlands. It is marked as “currently unavailable” in each region, with no indication of the official release date, though it is expected to be launching soon. As a rough guide on the cost, this entry-level model retails for CNY 159 (~$22), and the older Aqara Smart Hub E1 has a $29.99 RRP (curr. $26.99 at Amazon).
Aqara’s Smart Hub M100 is a compact device used to connect smart home devices. It supports up to 20 Zigbee products and up to 20 Thread products, and can act as a Thread border router and a mesh extender. It also supports the Matter protocol and can function as a Matter Bridge and a Matter Controller. This means that it can integrate with other smart home ecosystems like Apple Home, Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
Plus, there is support for local automation for Zigbee and Matter devices, so there is no general need for a cloud connection; however, this may be required for some automations like push notifications. It offers 2.4GHz Wi-Fi 6 with WPA3 security and is powered via USB-A. The compact hub measures 108.2 x 30 x 10 mm (~4.26 x 1.18 x 0.39 inches), and the body can be tilted by up to 210°.
