Roborock has released two mini washer-dryers in China, the M1S and M1S Pure. These M1S series washing machines can each wash loads weighing up to 1.2 kg (~2.6 lbs) and dry loads weighing up to 0.5 kg (~1.1 lbs).
Features of the Roborock M1S and M1S Pure mini washer-dryers include automatic detergent dispensing and the brand’s FineFoam technology, which is said to make washing faster and more efficient. According to the product listings, they have a 99.99% sterilization rate and will remove 99% of allergens. Plus, they can reduce creases by drying clothes at up to 95°C (~203°F).
The difference between the cheaper M1S Pure and the M1S is found in the drying technology; the latter offers ZeoCycle low-temperature drying which is said to be gentler on clothes. Both M1S series washer-dryers can be remotely controlled via the Roborock app and are compact machines measuring 428 x 512 x 489 mm (~16.9 x 20.2 x 19.3 inches).
The Roborock M1S and M1S Pure mini washer-dryers are priced at CNY 2,499 (~$342) and CNY 1,999 (~$274), respectively, in China. It is unclear whether or when these smart home products could launch in other markets such as Europe. They would join the Roborock Zeo Mini smart washer-dryer that was released in this region earlier this year.
