The possibly upcoming Reality-series headset has reportedly been granted its debut in Steve Jobs Theater, Apple Park in Cupertino, California. However, before any FOMO over somehow missing a potentially major event in the world of VR/AR sets in, it is important to note that this alleged inaugural starring turn in the OEM's own flagship venue is described as an in-house affair.
Bloomberg's tech correspondent Mark Gurman asserts that this official teaser was in fact the latest in a long line of internal Apple Reality showcases put on for the hardware behemoth's "Top 100", (or the ~100 top executives within the company) which have been ongoing since 2018.
However, this is reportedly the first such event to have taken place in such a famous and propitious venue. Therefore, it might be a good sign that the first-gen Reality headset will finally be unleashed on the public soon.
Despite this, Gurman remains relatively pessimistic about the new product's ability to become the next Apple Watch, given that its maker has, apparently, still not found an equivalent for health and activity tracking that would help it kill potential rivals such as the Meta Quest series.
