Apple confirms new device releases occurring before first 2026 launch event

Apple's next launch event is almost upon us. Confirmed on February 16, the 'Special Apple Experience' is set to take place on March 4. However, rumours then suggested that this event would only serve to provide a hands-on experience for devices that had already been announced earlier that week.
Now, Apple has effectively confirmed as much ahead of time. Posting on X, CEO Tim Cook has teased that Apple has 'a big week ahead', adding that 'it all starts Monday'. For the avoidance of doubt, Cook has also included the hashtag 'AppleLaunch' as shown in the embedded tweet below. Moreover, the included teaser video runs through to reveal an Apple logo on a silver background.
Based on Apple's current product lines, this likely relates to the MacBook Air or MacBook Pro (curr. $1,449 on Amazon). Apple is rumoured to be introducing a cheaper MacBook next week too, though. Other new devices include an iPhone 17e and a second-generation Studio Display. Also, the iPad and iPad Air are expected to finally move up to the A18 and M4 chipsets, respectively.
