Apple MacBook Neo sees 'unavoidable' price hike

One of the key selling points of the Apple MacBook Neo was that it starts at $599. This affordable price tag made it a better choice for many than entry-level Windows laptops. However, now, the laptop isn't as affordable as it used to be.
With a refresh on the official storefront, Apple has increased the starting price of the MacBook Neo from $599 to $699. This change seems to be reflected only on the official store at the moment, as the laptop still has the old price tag on Amazon.
The $699 starting price tag now makes some of the recently launched Intel Wildcat Lake laptops more attractive. Some of the premium models, such as the Dell XPS 13, are now even better Windows alternatives.
Of course, it's not just the MacBook Neo that has seen a price change. Apple has adjusted the prices of plenty of other offerings, including the Apple TV, iPad Air, iMac, Mac Studio, and Vision Pro.
It's worth noting that this change didn't come out of the blue. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Tim Cook announced that these price increases were on the way. The changes were deemed "unavoidable" and are intended to offset the high cost of storage and memory.
While none of the currently offered phone models have seen a price hike, these changes could mean that the upcoming iPhone 18 series will be more expensive than its predecessors.
