Entry-level Intel Wildcat Lake CPU posts PassMark scores close to MacBook Neo's A18 Pro

Intel introduced the Wildcat Lake series for lightweight and affordable laptops, and companies have already released some solid MacBook Neo rivals that are powered by this CPU lineup. Of course, in-depth reviews have yet to surface, but recently discovered benchmark results have already shared a glimpse of what these processors are capable of offering.
One of the notable benchmark results is from Passmark, and it's for the Intel Core 3 304, the entry-level CPU in the lineup. It features a five-core configuration, of which only one is a performance core. Even so, it seems to have tied against the Apple A18 Pro found in the MacBook Neo.
The Apple A18 Pro of the MacBook Neo (available on Amazon) got a single-thread rating of 3,982 on the benchmark, while the Intel Core 3 304 has a rating of 3,676. This results in a difference of around 7.7%, which is pretty impressive for the entry-level Intel processor.
As for the CPU Mark score, which is the average of eight different test results, it's similar for both processors. Specifically, the Intel Core 3 304 has 11,543 points, while the MacBook Neo's A18 Pro has a score of 11,804.
It's worth noting that the score of the Intel Core 3 304 is based on only three samples, and with more samples, the score can shift. Even so, at this early stage, it's quite impressive to see the entry-level Wildcat Lake achieving similar benchmark scores.
For those interested, the HP OmniBook 3, IdeaPad Slim 3i, and Chuwi UniBook are among the first laptops that are confirmed to feature the Core 3 304. More options are expected to be available from different brands.
