Deal | 13-inch Apple MacBook Air M5 with 1 TB SSD still available at $450 discount despite recent price hike

If you're disappointed by Apple's recent price hike, there's still some good news. The 13-inch Apple MacBook Air M5 is currently available on Amazon and has not yet been affected by Apple's latest price increase, making it a comparatively more affordable option for buyers.
The model on sale is the 13-inch MacBook Air powered by Apple's latest M5 chip. It also comes with 16 GB of unified memory and, more importantly, a spacious 1 TB SSD. Since this is the 1 TB variant, it features the higher-tier M5 chip with a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU, offering two additional GPU cores over the base configuration. Both versions, however, include the same 16-core Neural Engine, so AI-related performance should remain largely identical.
On Apple's website, the same configuration retails for $1,599. However, Amazon is currently offering it at a $450 discount, bringing the price down to $1,149. Buyers can also choose to add three years of AppleCare+, although the price mentioned here does not include that optional coverage.
At the time of writing, the laptop is available in Midnight, Silver, Sky Blue, and Starlight colour options. However, only the Silver variant appears to have been affected by the recent price hike and is currently listed at $1,599. The other three colours remain available for $1,149, although this could change as existing inventory sells out.
In our review, we described the MacBook Air as offering "insane performance and efficiency without fans." The laptop also received both the Notebookcheck Editor's Choice Award and the Notebookcheck Top Rated Award, highlighting its strong overall package of performance, battery life, and portability.
