Anbernic has officially confirmed full specifications for its next retro gaming handheld. At the same time, the company has showcased the Anbernic RG Rotate as part of the same lengthy unboxing video, too.

Anbernic has finally given its next gaming handheld an official unboxing. At the same time, the company has confirmed full technical specifications after teasing the RG Rotate for almost three weeks. Pricing and availability remain unknown for now.

In the meantime, Anbernic has confirmed that the RG Rotate relies upon the same Unisoc Tiger T618 chipset as the RG Vita (curr. $119 on Amazon). Thus, the new handheld has a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU with ARM Cortex-A55 and Cortex-A75 CPU cores at its disposal. Anbernic complements these with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage too, which is half as much storage that it includes in the RG Vita.

Additionally, the RG Rotate features a 2,000 mAh battery, stereo speakers and supports up to 2 TB microSD cards. The handheld is said to be capable of emulating up to PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Wii games across its 720p and 3.5-inch display. Unfortunately, the RG Rotate comes with Android 12 pre-installed rather than a newer alternative.

Anbernic will include a screen protector, wipes, a lanyard and a USB Type-A to Type-C cable with all orders, too. Also, both versions measure 80 x 80 x 21 mm, although only the Aurora Silver variant features an all-aluminium alloy case. Please see the video below for more details.
