Philips has introduced a new 200 Hz gaming monitor that is aimed at budget-conscious gamers. The no-frills product features a 21:9 ultrawide VA display with a resolution of 3440 by 1440.

Philips has introduced a new 34-inch ultrawide gaming monitor under its Evnia brand. Priced rather affordably, the monitor has budget-conscious gamers in its sights.

Dubbed the Evnia 34M2C5601QA, the 34-inch ultra-wide monitor features a fast VA panel with a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels. This allows for a mediocre pixel density of around 110 PPI, which should be more than enough for most content consumption, although not so much for workflows where text clarity is essential.

Philips claims 98% and 90% coverage of the sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamuts, as well as a contrast ratio of 4,000:1. Being a VA panel, viewing angles are likely to be noticeably worse than those of IPS panels, but folks who can take advantage of the better contrast ratio will likely be pretty satisfied with the panel.

The Philips Evnia 34M2C5601QA gaming monitor sports a peak refresh rate of 200 Hz.

Gamers in particular will appreciate the 200 Hz refresh rate. Philips also claims 1 ms response times (GtG), and support for adaptive sync technologies. A built-in KVM switch is also present, which has become a common sight in modern mid-range monitors.

Input options include dual DisplayPort 1.4 ports, as well as an HDMI 2.1 TMDS port. Triple USB-A downstream ports, and a single USB-B upstream port are also present. Finally, the monitor also sports a USB-C input port with 90 W power delivery, which should make laptop users very happy.

According to Philips, the Evnia 34M2C5601QA gaming monitor will be priced at £299.99 (roughly $405), with general availability to begin sometime in October. For customers in the EU, an approximate launch date of 1st October 2026 has been stated by retailers.

That said, gamers who would prefer a standard 16:9 monitor can check out something like the 27-inch AOC Agon Pro OLED 240 Hz gaming monitor, currently available for $350 on Amazon.

The Philips Evnia gaming monitor also features a USB-C port with 90 W power delivery.
