The AGON AG277QSD is primarily aimed at competitive gamers.
AOC's AGON AG277QSD is a 26.5-inch QHD QD-OLED panel that promises a 320Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time and 1,000-nit HDR performance. Aimed at competitive gamers, the monitor offers extensive features and connectivity, though international availability remains unconfirmed.

AOC has just launched a new gaming monitor in China, the AGON AG277QSD, a 26.5-inch QHD gaming monitor built around a new five-layer QD-OLED Penta Tandem panel (a display technology from Samsung Display that uses five stacked organic light-emitting layers instead of four). The display combines a 2560×1440 resolution with a 320Hz refresh rate and a supposed gray-to-gray response time of 0.03ms, targeting high-refresh-rate gaming and e-sports.

Its most notable feature is factory-calibrated HDR, which AOC advertises as an industry first for an OLED gaming monitor. The company specifies average Delta E below 2 in DisplayHDR mode, including brightness error, while DCI-P3 mode is rated below Delta E 1. The panel covers 99% of DCI-P3 and comes with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, with peak brightness advertised at up to 1,000 nits. Manufacturer claims, however, should be taken with a grain of salt until verified via independent testing.

The monitor also features variable refresh rate support, MBR Sync motion-blur reduction and AOC's DarkShield coating. Connectivity consists of two HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4 and a USB hub. Competitive gamers can also use a one-touch mode to reduce the 26.5-inch display area to a 24.5-inch window, with support for legacy aspect ratios such as 1280×960 in 4:3 and 1280×1024 in 5:4.

Currently priced at 3,160 yuan (approx. $472) in China, AOC is yet to confirm wider international availability or pricing for the AGON AG277QSD. Those looking for comparable alternatives are advised to take a look at the Alienware AW2725DF or MSI MAG 271QPX, both with very similar specs.
