Acer releases new 16-inch lightweight laptop internationally with 120 Hz OLED, 32 GB RAM and Intel Panther Lake

Acer has finally released one of the 16-inch laptops it brought to CES in January. To recap, the company recently released the Helios Neo 16 gaming laptop with an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor and up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 laptop GPU. Shortly before that, it began selling an updated Aspire 18 across Europe and the UAE.
Now, Acer is offering the updated Swift Edge 16, a 1.19 kg laptop that was previously available with AMD Hawk Point and Intel Lunar Lake processors. By contrast, the latest Swift Edge 16 joins the Swift Go 16 (curr. $1,379 on Amazon) in adopting Intel's Panther Lake architecture.

Specifically, Acer pairs the new Swift Edge 16 with the Core Ultra 5 325, Core Ultra 7 355 or the Core Ultra 9 386H. According to our benchmarks, the Core Ultra 9 386H is by far the most powerful of the three. However, Intel equips these processors with the same 4-core Xe3 iGPU.
Moreover, the new 16-inch laptop features a 65 Wh battery and a 120 Hz OLED display resolving at 1800p with 340 nits peak brightness. Pricing starts at HKD 10,998 (~$1,401) in Hong Kong with 16 GB of RAM and a Core Ultra 5 325 but rises to HKD 11,998 (~$1,529) and HKD 12,998 (~$1,656) for the Core Ultra 7 355 and 16 GB of RAM or Core Ultra 5 325 and 32 GB of RAM.
Meanwhile, Acer charges AED 8,546 (~$2,302) in the UAE for a variant with a Core Ultra 9 386H processor, 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. Please note, this price includes 5% VAT. In comparison, the new Swift Edge 126 has reached the US for $1,549 with a Core Ultra 9 386H, 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD.
