Acer is now selling one of its latest 16-inch laptops globally. At the same time, the Swift Go 16 can now be configured with the Core Ultra 9 386H, a 16-core Panther Lake processor that should bring considerable performance improvements over the Panther Lake options that were previously available.

Acer has finally started selling its latest Swift Go 16 globally with Intel processors. Presented in January, the Intel-based Swift Go 16 weighs just 1.36 kg despite containing a 16-inch chassis, a numberpad and a 70 Wh battery. For context, AMD-based alternatives are now available too with up to a Ryzen AI 9 465 processor (curr. $1,259 on Amazon).

Initially, Acer sold Intel versions of the Swift Go 16 with a choice between the Core Ultra 5 322 and Core Ultra 7 355. The Core Ultra 7 355 remains the laptop's most powerful option in the US, with a 26% lead over the Core Ultra 5 322 in our benchmarks. However, the Swift Go 16 can now be picked up with the more powerful Core Ultra 9 386H in Europe.

For reference, the Swift Go 16 starts at €1,399 in the Eurozone and £1,199 in the UK with a Core Ultra 5 325 processor, 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, a 512 GB SSD and a 1200p/60 Hz OLED display. Prices jump by €100 and £100 for the Core Ultra 7 355 version, which should enjoy a massive graphics performance advantage over Core Ultra 5 322 units.

By contrast, Acer charges €2,299 for the Swift Go 16 whe configured with a Core Ultra 9 386H processor. While a 53% uplift, this price also includes twice as much RAM and storage as the laptop's Core Ultra 7 355 variant. Unfortunately, the 60 Hz OLED display remains. Nonetheless, the Core Ultra 9 386H boasts over 40% stronger performance in our benchmarks thanks to its faster Cougar Cove P-Cores and its 8 Darkmont E-cores that the Core Ultra 7 355 lacks.
