Acer intros new MacBook Neo rival with 120Hz display and Thunderbolt 4 ports

Acer has introduced a new configuration for the Go Air. Previously introduced with rebranded Raptor Lake-H series processors, the thin and light laptop is now available in the Intel Wildcat Lake flavor in China.
Specifically, the newly introduced configuration is powered by the Intel Core 5 320, a mid-range option within the lineup. Per benchmarks, it can offer around the same level of performance as the Apple A18 Pro powering the MacBook Neo, its rival. Acer paired this Wildcat Lake processor with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and there's a 512GB SSD.
On the front, the laptop sports a 14-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 120% sRGB coverage, and DC dimming. While Acer doesn't explicitly mention the resolution, it's 1920x1200 pixels, and it's an IPS screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio.
Another highlight of the Wildcat Lake Acer Go is the thin and light design. The company notes that the laptop weighs 1.19kg (2.62lbs), and the chassis is said to be as thin as 12.99mm. For comparison, the MacBook Neo weighs about 1.23kg (about 2.7lbs), while it measures 12.7mm thick.
There's a 70Wh battery, which is said to offer up to 19 hours of runtime, and thanks to the 100W fast charging support through the USB-C port, Acer claims that the laptop can get to 50% charge in just 30 minutes (160W Ugreen Nexode Pro charger curr. $59.99 on Amazon). On the note of the port configuration, there are two Thunderbolt 4 ports and one USB-A.
Sleek metal finish, a 180° hinge, and an FHD webcam with face recognition support are among the other highlights of the Wildcat Lake Acer Go Air. In China, the laptop has a launch price of CNY 5,499, around $815. While it's not announced for the global market yet, the Swift Air 14 (SFA14-I31), which launched internationally in June 2026 with a starting price of $699, has an identical set of specs.
