Quite a lot is already known about the alleged fourth Galaxy S25 model, which is expected to arrive in Q2 2025 and fill the gap between the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra. Unlike the cheaper but slightly pared-back “Fan Editions” of previous years, the Galaxy S25 Edge seems to be a preemptive response to Apple’s rumoured iPhone 17 Air, which is reportedly set to launch in September and feature a new design coupled with an exceptionally thin chassis – at the cost of flagship specs.
The Galaxy S25 Edge apparently won’t make as many compromises, as recently confirmed by a Geekbench result suggesting performance close to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, used in the Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra. Following more specs-related information from a South Korean leaker, Ice Universe, a familiar figure from China, has just claimed that the S25 Edge will be lighter than 162 g (5.71 oz) – the weight of a regular 6.1-inch Galaxy S25.
Leaker: Galaxy S25 Edge to be priced closer to Galaxy S25+
According to Max Jambor, the Galaxy S25 Edge will likely be released in April or by May at the latest and probably won’t be much pricier than the Galaxy S25+. In any case, the Samsung insider from Germany has obtained information suggesting that Samsung is going to price the S25 Edge closer to the S25+ than the S25 Ultra. Considering the Plus model is currently selling for about $1,000 on Amazon, you can expect the S25 Edge to cost roughly $1,100. Whilst certainly not cheap by any means, this still significantly lower than the price of the Galaxy S25 Ultra (around $1,300).
