Samsung is not expected to fully unveil the Galaxy S25 Edge until the spring. To recap, the company showcased the device alongside the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra last month at its Galaxy Unpacked event in San Jose. While the event revealed what the Galaxy S25 Edge looks like and how it visually differs from the rest of the Galaxy S25 series, even its dimensions remain unofficial at this time.
As a result, various sources have been gradually revealing details about the device, which was previously known as the Galaxy S25 Slim. Now, PandaFlashPro has collated a list of allegedly 'confirmed' specifications, such as the inclusion of an 'Armor Aluminum' frame and a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2-reinforced display. According to the same source, the latter will protect a 1-120 Hz and 2,600-nit panel that will be surrounded by 1.32 mm-thick bezels on all sides.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is also said to support Samsung's ProScaler software, which debuted on the Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra (curr. $1,294 on Amazon) but not the cheaper Galaxy S25. Similarly, a 200 MP primary camera should be present from the Galaxy S25 Ultra, albeit joined by the same 12 MP front-facing camera found in the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus. Other similarities between the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Edge are expected too, including 25 W wired charging and dual speakers.
Meanwhile, PandaFlashPro suggests that Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S25 Edge with a thinner vapour chamber cooling system than the equivalent in the Galaxy S25. The resulting reduction in cooling performance implies that Samsung could employ Qualcomm's slower Snapdragon 8 Elite (SM8750-3-AB) chipset, which loses a Performance CPU core to minimise thermal throttling in slim smartphones. To that end, the Galaxy S25 Edge is rumoured to be a mere 5.84 mm thick.
