A recent report from Tom Henderson, one of the first PlayStation 5 Pro leakers) said Sony's upcoming console was on track for a late-2024 release. Now, X leaker @Kepler_L2 has shown off some of the console's new raytracing features, which will also be present on AMD's next-gen Radeon 9000 RDNA 4 GPUs. In an earlier Tweet, Kepler said RDNA 4's raytracing features have been redesigned from the ground up and potentially compete against Nvidia's offerings.

Further down in the thread, Kepler says the PlayStation 5 Pro's 8-core Zen 2 CPU will have a boost clock of 3.xx (redacted) GHz, confirming an earlier leak which predicted it would be 3.85 GHz. As far as the GPU is concerned, it could max out at 2.35 GHz. While these specs look good on paper, the aged Zen 2 cores could hinder the RDNA 4 GPU from unlocking its full potential.
Along with a shiny new AMD RDNA 4 GPU, the PlayStation 5 Pro will also come with an AI-powered upscaler (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution/PSSR). This should allow the console to run games at up to 4K 120 FPS. Games will be required to run at this resolution/framerate to get the coveted “PlayStation 5 Pro Enhanced” tag.
