Philips Hue Bridge update brings support for new smart lights

The Philips Hue Bridge is receiving an update, software version 1973038060. The last major release for this device was in June 2025, when the smart home hub gained support for products like the Xamento and Adore recessed spots, and the Hue Play wall washer light (curr. $219.99 at Amazon).

According to Philips Hue, software version 1973038060 brings support for many of the brand’s upcoming products, which are about to be released. While they are not named in the release notes, these new products are expected to include the Hue Essential smart bulb, Hue Festavia Globe String Lights and the Hue Outdoor Gradient Lightstrip. These latest smart lights and bulbs are expected to be officially announced in early September, following a series of recent leaks. The company is also expected to reveal the Philips Hue Bridge Pro in the near future.

The change log hints at minor bug fixes and improvements, though no further details are provided.
