This Radiology-featured convertible tablet should be a niche product
Toshiba brings out this latest convertible tablet called the Viamo recently with Radiology features in-built that will help the Radiologists doing more precise analysis at a lower cost than the traditional cart systems. Called as the Viamo laptop ultrasound system, it was introduced during the 2009 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in form of a machine that promises total radiology assistance, including imaging, scanning and overall performing tests even with the patient in bed. Being touch-enabled, it should give immense ease of use.
“The Viamo is specifically designed to provide advanced radiology capabilities in a portable system, creating more comfortable exams for patients,” said Girish Hagan, vice president, Marketing, Toshiba to Softpedia.
The price and availability are still unknown.
