The latest offering from the Taiwanese manufacturer is the Wind U100 Plus Netbook, which seems as an upgrade to the existing line of Wind series Netbooks. At the centre of this Netbook lies the Intel Atom N280 processor, which is more powerful than its predecessor the Atom N270. It would use the Intel 945GMS and ICH7M chipset combo with Intel's 1.66GHz Atom N280. The company claims that the U100 Plus would be capable of providing 7 hours of battery back up to the users.

Moreover, the Wind U100 Plus will be available in a variety of colors to suite the users taste; these include Rose Champagne, Metallic Blue, Imperial Black, Angelic White and Regal Red. Apart from that the configuration would be the same as the previous Wind series Netbooks which offer 160GB SATA hard drive, a 4-in-1 card reader, 3 USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet LAN, built-in 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V2.0+EDR, a 1.3MP webcam and stereo speakers. The system measures 260x180x19-31.5mm and weighs approximately 1kg with a 3-cell battery.

The pricing for this model has not yet been disclosed.
