The iLike Mini is priced at just US $149
Is this the year of the Tablet PC? I am beginning to think it is, because lately we’ve been seeing so many new devices of this “breed”. Some of them sell for $200, others for $800. Haleron Technologies is the next company to introduce a tablet. Named iLike Mini, this new mini-computer is allegedly now shipping.
Configuration
Haleron equipped the iLike Mini with a 7-inch WVGA LCD touch-screen display with a resolution of 800-by-480 pixels. Furthermore, it features a VIA VT8505 central processing unit, which is clocked at 300Mhz. The iLike Mini houses 128MB of internal DDR2 memory and a storage capacity of 2GB in form of NAND flash. According to Haleron, the tablet supports up to a 250GB external mechanical hard drive and up to a 16GB SD card.
Connectivity
The standard configuration includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n module. In addition, a Bluetooth transceiver and a GPS interface are available as an option. The iLike Mini sports two USB 2.0 ports, a card-reader slot and Ethernet LAN.
Other specs
The new Tablet PC by Haleron runs a copy of Windows CE 6.0 operating system and measures 188 x 114 x 24mm (≈ 7.4 x 4.5 x 0.9 in). The iLike Mini comes with a 2200mAh lithium battery and the company promises up to six hours of runtime (optional 3300mAh). The device supports an external keyboard, has one-year warranty and sells for US $149(≈€108.83/£95.04).
