Lenovo just launched its new Snapdragon 8 Elite gaming tablet, the Legion Y700 4th gen, in China. While the company has yet to announce the global launch, it's already available for international buyers through import on Giztop.

The Lenovo Legion Y700 4th generation gaming tablet launched in China on May 8, 2025. While it's expected to make an international debut as the Legion Tab Gen 4, the company has yet to share details on when it will officially land outside the Chinese market. However, for those who don't mind importing, the device is already available to pre-order on Giztop.

Giztop notes that the new Snapdragon 8 Elite gaming tablet is expected to ship on May 21, and the store is currently selling the base configuration with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage at $599. The upper-end config with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage costs $699.

This isn't a bad pricing for the gaming tablet that's only officially available in China right now. To fill you in, the Legion Y700 4th generation starts at CNY 3,299 in China, which converts to around $456. The upper-end config, on the other hand, costs CNY 3,799, about $525.

As for the gaming tablet, the Legion Y700 4th generation brings a handful of upgrades over the predecessor. Besides the Snapdragon 8 Elite, it has an improved display with a higher resolution, at 3040x1904 pixels instead of 2560x1600 pixels. It can also get brighter from 500 nits to 600 nits.

There's a battery upgrade as well, with the new Lenovo gaming tablet featuring a 7,600 mAh battery instead of the 6,500 mAh found in the predecessor. Other highlights of the Legion Y700 4th generation include a 165 Hz refresh rate, a TF card slot (512 GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC curr. $34.99 on Amazon), bypass charging, and 68 W fast charging support.

About importing this gaming tablet from China, there are some factors to consider. For example, while Giztop appears to have a decent warranty policy, the process isn't the same as claiming an official warranty. Another thing to note is that the Android 15 skin of this Chinese Legion Y700 4th gen will have China-specific functions and apps, and some features and apps that function smoothly on global devices may not work.
