A new Casio watch series, GAV-01, is reportedly on the way. It has been suggested that this international range will include at least four models: the GAV-01-1A, the GAV-01-2A, the GAV-01-9A and the GAV-01A-8A.
Rumors have been swirling around the new wearable for several days. Now, Great G-Shock World, a dedicated Casio blog based in Japan, claims that it has confirmed the existence of the GAV-01 with a North American company. Unfortunately, the site does not disclose its source.
Based on the name, starting with the letter “G”, it is expected that this will be a G-Shock watch. The “A” typically denotes an analogue watch face, though it may also have digital elements. It is currently unclear what the “V” stands for, as this is an uncommon letter in Casio naming. The final two letters indicate the four different colors: 1A for Black, 2A for Blue, 9A for Yellow or Beige, and 8A for Gray.
It remains to be seen when the Casio GAV-01 watches will launch, in which countries and at what price. Reports suggest that it will be released in 2025. In the meantime, you could consider other popular Casio GA watches, like the GA2100-1A1 (curr. $99 at Amazon).
