OnLeaks and SmartPrix have shared numerous specifications for the Razr 50 Ultra, a Razr 40 Ultra (curr. $459 - renewed on Amazon) successor that Motorola will offer as the Razr Plus (2024) in North America. For reference, Deal N Tech recently revealed alleged Eurozone pricing for the Razr 50 Ultra, full details of which we have covered separately. In short, the website provided evidence that at least one retailer believed that Motorola had decided to price the Razr 50 Ultra for just as much as its predecessor.
Supposedly, the Razr 50 Ultra will be available for approximately €1,200 with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. According to OnLeaks, North America will receive a variant for $999 with the same RAM configuration but only 256 GB of storage. Presumably, Motorola will harmonise its memory configurations across North America and Europe, though. Additionally, OnLeaks adds that the Razr 50 Ultra will carry across its predecessor's design and displays; please see our Razr 40 Ultra review for more information in this regard.
However, Motorola is planning upgrades in other areas, such as the move from Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 to Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipsets. Moreover, Motorola is said to have included a pair of 50 MP rear-facing cameras, although the 32 MP front-facing camera from last year's model remains. On top of that, the Razr 50 Ultra is rumoured to feature a 4,000 mAh battery, plus an IPX8-certified housing. Currently, OnLeaks expects Motorola to unveil the Razr 50 Ultra and the Razr Plus (2024) next month.
