It's been an agonizing wait for Hollow Knight: Silksong news since its 2019 reveal. At the Switch 2 Nintendo Direct, the game finally reemerged with a teaser video. Now, a popular Polish retailer has listed a Switch 2 physical version with a 2025 Hollow Knight: Silksong release date.

Following Nintendo's recent Switch 2 reveal, gamers knew Hollow Knight: Silksong would debut in 2025. Soon after the presentation, the game's marketing team confirmed Switch and Switch 2 versions. Still, a question remained over whether Nintendo's new console would receive a potentially pricey physical edition. For the Switch 2, the RTV Euro AGD page specifies a cartridge release. Unfortunately, there is no mention of a price or a more exact availability.

In the past, retailers like Amazon listed games that were delayed or, in some cases, never released. However, after six years, it appears that the title will soon make its long-awaited debut. Other leaks may suggest a more precise Hollow Knight: Silksong release date.

The game surfaced in an advertisement for Game Worlds, an Australian gaming exhibition in September. The show focuses on already available titles, so there is hope that Hollow Knight: Silksong will come out before the fall. Other rumors hint that the title will become an Xbox Game Pass release by June. PC gamers also discovered changes on Steam, including references to GeForce Now and an updated 2025 copyright date.

The original Hollow Knight is a non-linear 2D platformer known for its gorgeous art style and rewarding combat. Although the Team Cherry game launched on multiple systems, it enjoyed particular success on the Switch handheld.
