Microsoft has had a partnership with the cloud gaming provider Boosteroid since last year. Now the range of playable Xbox PC games has been expanded considerably.

Boosteroid is a cloud gaming platform that makes it possible to play demanding games on devices that do not have sufficient hardware power. This works by playing the games in data centers and streaming them to the user's smartphone, tablet or PC.

Microsoft announced a 10-year partnership with Boosteroid back in March 2023. The first Xbox PC games were then available via the cloud in June: Gears 5, Grounded, Deathloop and Pentiment. The range has now been expanded to include more games. Now Dishonored, Dishonored 2, Dishonored: Death of The Outsider, Gears Tactics and Ghostwire: Tokyo are available - with full cross-play and cross-save support. According to Microsoft, the range will be continuously expanded.

How it works

To play Xbox games via Boosteroid on a smartphone or tablet, gamers need access to the respective game via PC Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Alternatively, the respective game can also be purchased directly from the Microsoft Store. If you have an existing Boosteroid account, you can find all supported games in the library under "Xbox". Now just select the desired game from the PC library and start playing. Certain system requirements are still required by the cloud gaming service.
