Reviews for the realme GT 2
The realme GT 2 comes with slightly older hardware, but at a mid-range price. Whether it might be the better buy compared to the Pro model and whether it can hold its own against the strong competition, you can find out in the review.

As a performance-oriented device, the Realme GT 2 has only a few devices that can match it and when talking about image-taking prowess, the list gets even shorter. I’m a fan of this biopolymer design language and also of how good the display is. However, if you like to view HDR10 content on OTT platforms, that facility has, as of now, not been extended to the device. Also, the software skin is quite intuitive in terms of customisability but Realme’s familiar bloatware problems persist. Overall, the Realme GT 2 is a solid processing powerhouse and gamers with Rs 35,000 in their budget should definitely give it a closer look.

Realme’s GT 2 delivers the goods for mid-range buyers, with a powerful processor, great primary camera and a surprisingly mature design. It’s just a shame the secondary cameras aren’t so impressive.

The Realme GT 2 is another solid phone from the firm, but I feel like it’s more of a flagship filler than flagship killer - sitting between last year's GT and the new GT 2 Pro. That’s not to say you shouldn't buy it, just that it’s less of a no brainer this time around. Not a whole lot has changed since the original GT with much of the same spec sheet and I personally prefer the striking vegan leather design rather than this new biopolymer one. With a higher price and the entry-level model limited to the Steel Black (non-biopolymer) colourway, it’s just got more of a job on its hands competing with various phones at a similar price or often much lower. A lack of waterproofing, wireless charging and those basic ultrawide and macro cameras are all disappointing. However, if the unusual biopolymer design does take your fancy, then you’re getting a well-spec'd phone with above-average battery life and speedy 65W charging.

The Realme GT2 is a well-balanced device. And we can get behind the idea of last year's Snapdragon 888. The GT2 has a nice screen, dependable battery life, blazing-fast charging, innovative design and solid main camera performance to complement the powerful SoC. While a better ultrawide camera and some nicer selfie quality would have been much appreciated, there's nothing inherently wrong with the Realme GT2. The thing is, the GT2 doesn't excel in many aspects. The great Paper design isn't enough for it to stand out. And there are quite a few affordable flagships to choose from nowadays, most of which are even cheaper than the GT2. It's hard to argue with prices.

The Realme GT2 is an accomplished high-end smartphone with a commendable screen, a great primary camera and more than enough performance. But for the presence of a zoom lens this might have been a simple choice over its more expensive peer, instead it is an excellent smartphone and an easy recommendation for most people.

This is a great phone and it punches above weight its weight. However, it is a bit late to the party as this segment of the market is becoming more and more crowded in the last six months. There are some great devices now on the market including the Onplus in the form of the Oneplus Nord 2 5G. If you are able to pick this phone up before the 21st of March then it is a compelling offer for the spec at the cheap price of £499 for the top version or a bargain for the 128GB model as you do get a phone with great features and for well below what you could be expected to pay for a more well-known brand. Just be aware that it may not be supported as well in terms of Software support as the bigger names, You can buy the phone now from Realme direct for £399 of the 128GB Storage and 8Gb RAM variant with the 256GB Storage and 12GB RAM version being £100 more. This on special early bird offer until the 21st of March when the prices will go up to £499 and £549 respectively.

The GT 2 represents Realme firing on all cylinders. This is a fantastic flagship killer that I guarantee you will thoroughly enjoy using — performance is admirable, the camera is great, the battery life has plenty of longevity and it's a visually stunning phone that you’ll feel proud to pull out in public. Of course, it doesn’t come without some flaws. The 3.5mm headphone jack is no more, there is no wireless charging, and the ultra-wide snapper is still teetering on average. But these are easily forgiven with this value all-rounder that’s good for whatever you throw at it.

The Realme GT 2 is an improvement in some, but not all, areas over the original, and acts as a tempting alternative to the Pro. Its price is impressively low given that it nets you a great main camera, an impressive chipset and a novel design, though there are a few rough edges here and there.

On the phone’s user interface, I am very happy to report that one of the biggest bugbears I have had with any Realme device I have used has been resolved. I can now add multiple of the same instances of widgets, Hazzuh!! So that is me just scraping the surface of the Realme GT 2 5G I think this is gonna be a fun phone and I am looking forward to getting to know it a bit more over the next few days and weeks while I finalize my review. If you wish to preorder the Realme GT 2 5G or its bigger brother the Realme GT2 Pro 5G then you can do by heading over to this link on the 8th of March. The preorder price is £399 for GT2, with the GT2 Pro coming in for an extra £200 They will be both be available on the 15th of March

The Realme GT 2 smartphone provides you with a specification that is not possible at this price range. Not to mention the new paper-like design, which is certainly a wow factor of this phone. But it’s also true that not everybody is dependent on high-tech specs and needs a well-balanced phone, then this phone will satisfy them as well. The phone doesn’t come with wireless charging or an average camera setup. If you’re looking for an alternative option, you can get plenty of options in the same price range as the Oneplus 9RT smartphone.

Realme, which dared to leapfrog, once refreshed the low price of Snapdragon 888 mobile phones with Realme GT, and on realme GT2, we can’t help but mention its cost-effectiveness in addition to seeing its design and image upgrades. It does not have the blessing of the new generation of Snapdragon 8, but the calm enough Snapdragon 888 is worthy of our admiration.
