Reviews for the Asus Zenfone 8z

ASUS has set the pricing of the Asus 8Z at Rs 42,999 in India, and at that price, it appears to be a very solid value for money proposition overall. There is a beautiful display, a powerful flagship processor, faster RAM and storage, a fantastic primary camera, great software, and the most important thing, a compact form factor in this smartphone. Furthermore, it has an IP68 rating, which is something that is not found on competing phones. When it comes to games like BGMI or COD: Mobile, the phone is more than capable of handling whatever you throw at it. It’s important to note that the chipset warms up quickly. In addition, the phone’s battery life is low, the charging time is long, and the selfie camera is lacking. However, there is no doubt that the advantages dominate the drawbacks of this phone. The ASUS 8z is an all-in-one compact smartphone. To sum up, the Asus 8Z is an Android smartphone that resembles the Apple iPhone 12 mini.

Undoubtedly, Asus 8z emerges as a fresh option in Android smartphones for someone who is looking for a compact device without leaving the performance factor behind it. With its rich viewing experience, good rear camera output along with its strong and comfortable build quality, the Asus 8z has impressive output but with some flaws. As nothing is perfect! The average battery life and slow charging are just some factors that one can’t neglect, especially when you know that you need to pay Rs. 42,999. Hence, keeping its miniature factor aside for a while, there are a lot of better options for your consideration at the same price range. If you are looking for better camera performance, then there is Oppo 7 Pro with an even larger battery life under Rs. 40,000, but have to settle with a 90Hz display. Well, with the almost same price, the iQOO 9 adds the fast charging option to the table. And with a bit higher prices, the Xiaomi 11T Pro and Moto Edge 30 Pro can be a good option with a more powerful battery, better camera, and quick charging.

Flagship smartphones have gotten quite powerful over time and in the pursuit of better hardware, most devices have grown in size. Most smartphone screens are now greater than 6 inches, and that makes one-handed use difficult. The Samsung Galaxy S22 is one of very few Android smartphones to launch this year that offers flagship-level performance in a small package, but it also commands a steep premium. This is where the Asus 8z offers better value. It has a unique combination of premium build quality, powerful hardware, and compact size at its price level. However, if you don't want to limit yourself to Android, the Apple iPhone 12 mini (Review) and iPhone 13 mini (Review) also offer great performance. While the iPhone 13 mini is more expensive, the iPhone 12 mini is within reach, and we've seen its price drop below Rs. 40,000 during sales. The Asus 8z isn't flawless. The compact body limits battery capacity, and while Asus has tried its best to optimise battery life, this phone is just no match for those with physically larger batteries.

It’s a bit of a complex question really. There’s no doubt that Asus has made, if not the best a decently equipped Android smartphone that’s smaller than rival phones. It’s the most powerful small Android smartphone without a doubt. It fits easily in one hand and I can fit in the pocket of my skinny jeans. Priced at Rs 42,999, Asus 8z is a comfortable phone to carry around but at the same time, the size limits adding a bigger battery or more camera lenses. I don’t know whether or not the Asus 8z can compete with the best phones from the likes of Apple and Samsung, but I see a new wave of small premium phones making their way into the crowded market with a particular audience in mind.

It is a very small display format for smartphones. You should by no means be mis-sighted and you will generally see very little on the screen and only have a small resolution available. In return, the device should be very small and handy.

73.33%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
