MSI has upgraded the Bravo 15, a popular 15-inch gaming laptop that it released last year. The new Bravo 15 features Ryzen 5000H processors and is bulkier, thanks to a refined cooling solution. Unfortunately, MSI has stuck with last-generation Radeon RX GPUs.

MSI has upgraded the Bravo 15, although it is a rather underwhelming upgrade, in our opinion. On the one hand, MSI has replaced the Ryzen 7 4800H with a Ryzen 7 5800H, a decent upgrade that should yield 10% better CPU performance.

On the other hand, MSI has equipped the new Bravo 15 with a Radeon RX 5500M, a mid-range GPU when AMD released it in 2019. However, the Radeon RX 5500M offers less than half the performance of the Radeon RX 6600M, the current entry-level RDNA 2 laptop GPU.

MSI has added a more robust cooling system in this year's model, though. Specifically, the new model is 3 mm thicker and 400 g heavier than its predecessor. Hopefully, this results in better cooling performance, even if there is a last-generation GPU inside.

The new Bravo 15 also has Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6 connectivity, along with dual 2 W speakers. Moreover, MSI has included a Ethernet connection, an HDMI 2.0 port, a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port and three USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports. The new Bravo 15 will be available with 8 GB or 16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, too.
