Deal | MSI Sword 15 laptop on sale for $999 USD with 11th gen Core i7, GeForce GTX 3050 Ti graphics, and 144 Hz IPS display

Best Buy is currently running a promo for $200 USD off the 15.6-inch MSI Sword gaming laptop. The Sword is the latest budget gaming laptop from MSI designed for users who are satisfied with 1080p gaming at high graphical settings. It is the sister product to the MSI Katana.

The deal is notable for its high-end specifications relative to the $999 sale price. Users are getting an 11th gen Core i7-11800H processor, 144 Hz 1080p display, and a GeForce RTX 3050 Ti to be sufficient for playing the latest titles. Just a couple of years ago, this same price point would have only netted users a slower Core i5 with GeForce RTX 2060 graphics instead.

The major drawback to the deal is its limited 8 GB of system RAM which is thankfully user upgradeable.

We've yet to review the MSI Sword, but its build and quality are likely similar to the GF65 or GP65 series which inspired the Sword.
