MagyarLeaked OnePlus 12 specifications reveal iterative upgrades over OnePlus 11; 5400 mAh battery, 50 W wireless charging, and 32 MP selfie camera in tow
We recently reported on the first renders of the OnePlus 12, which is set to arrive later this year in China. While the initial leak revealed several apparent features, Steve H. McFly (OnLeaks) and SmartPrix have now leaked additional specifications about OnePlus's upcoming flagship.
According to the aforementioned sources, the OnePlus 12 can be expected to sport a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. At the moment, this doesn't seem any different from the OnePlus 11's display specifications.
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC under the hood is more or less a given. This will be complemented by 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage, which are again reminiscent of the OnePlus 11.
The battery capacity and charging speeds will be seeing some changes this time. While the OnePlus 11 offers a 5,000 mAh battery, the OnePlus 12 is rumored to sport a slightly larger 5,400 mAh battery that supports 100 W fast charging together with 50 W wireless charging. It does not match the superfast 150 W SuperVOOC tech we saw with the OnePlus 10T, but at least OnePlus is bringing wireless charging back this time.
The major upgrades, however, are with respect to the cameras. The selfie camera is now a 32 MP shooter. This should be quite an upgrade over the 16 MP sensor that has remained relatively unchanged since the OnePlus 7 Pro.
On the rear, the OnePlus 12 will sport the characteristic circular camera hump that houses a 50 MP primary camera. The ultrawide is now a 50 MP sensor and the telephoto camera will be a new 64 MP Omnivision OV64B shooter with 3x periscope optical zoom — similar to what Oppo uses with the new Reno10 Pro+.
Oxygen OS 14 based on Android 14, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and an alert slider round up the purported specifications of the OnePlus 12.
As for the release, the OnePlus 12 will follow a similar pattern as its predecessor — an initial launch in China in December this year, followed by a global release in February 2024.
