The iPhone SE 4 is coming. Word on the grapevine tipped Apple's next-gen budget model to launch today but those rumors may have been slightly misguided; the SE 4 will not launch today but a new report has now provided clarity on when Apple will unveil the device.
As shared by Mark Gurman, the iPhone SE 4 is scheduled to launch next week—the third week of February. Supposedly, Apple will hold product briefings and take the wraps off the iPhone SE 4 simultaneously. The successor to 2022's iPhone SE 3 will, perhaps, offer the most significant changes in the series yet. The iPhone SE 4 will ditch the overall design of its predecessors, and also move to a much larger 6.1-inch display, up from the previous model's 4.7-inch screen.
Gone is Touch ID. In its place is Face ID, as seen on all standard iPhone models since the iPhone X. That, of course, means a full-screen design, with the selfie camera and Face ID hardware housed within an iPhone 14-esque notch. Apple will keep the Dynamic Island exclusive to its more premium offerings for now.
While the iPhone SE 4 is set to launch next week, Apple will take a while longer to prepare the next-gen MacBook Air. According to Gurman, the MacBook Air, which will come equipped with Apple's M4 chip, is being readied to debut "within weeks". That likely indicates a March release for the thin, fanless notebook.
