iPhone SE 2022: Apple's A15 Bionic-powered compact phone showcases a familiar design in new renders
Apple is prepping the iPhone SE 2022 for launch. The compact phone will be a direct successor to the iPhone SE 2020 and is expected to arrive sometime in spring this year. New renders of the phone have surfaced as well, and depict it with a rather familiar design.
As revealed by LetsGoDigital, the iPhone SE 2022 will sport a design identical to the device it succeeds. That's no surprise, as it's expected to only be a light refresh of the iPhone SE 2020. What this means is a single rear camera, a 4.7-inch display, and Touch ID instead of Face ID. Everything else looks, well, exactly like the iPhone SE 2020. No one should be looking to buy this for an innovative design.
That said, however, the iPhone SE 2022 is expected to be powered by Apple's A15 Bionic, likely in the same configuration as the iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 13. It will sport a 12 MP rear shooter as well, and will likely offer Deep Fusion, Smart HDR, and Night Mode. 5G support is all but guaranteed, too.
While the iPhone SE 2022 is unlikely to sail any uncharted waters, Apple looks geared to debut another iPhone SE model either next year, or in 2024. That phone will land with a bigger display and a more striking design.
