Jon Prosser has revealed hands-on photos of the next iPhone SE, thought to be called the iPhone SE 5G on account of its 5G-capable SoC, or the iPhone SE 3. Based on previous leaks, Apple has decided to equip this year's iPhone SE with the A15 Bionic from the iPhone 13 series and the iPad mini 6. Additionally, the company is considering releasing the next iPhone SE in multiple markets, including India.
As the photo below shows, the iPhone SE 5G resembles its predecessor. Supposedly, Prosser thought the pair looked so similar that he decided against publishing the pictures on FrontPageTech or his Twitter channel. Allegedly, the software information shown confirms that the device is not the current iPhone SE, although Prosser obscured this when showing it on the Genius Bar Podcast.
Reputedly, a major iPhone SE redesign will not arrive for another generation, potentially in 2023 or 2024. Instead, the iPhone SE 5G will launch with a 4.7-inch and 750p display, a single rear-facing camera and a design that debuted in 2014 with the iPhone 6. Seemingly, Apple will release the iPhone SE 5G in three memory configurations too, mirroring the iPhone SE 2020.
