iPhone 17: Reliable tipster claims revamped Dynamic Island set to grace Apple's upcoming flagships

According to leaker Digital Chat Station, who has maintained a pretty admirable track record when it comes to iPhone leaks, certain updates are set to grace the upcoming iPhone 17 lineup's Dynamic Island. 

However, the changes are expected to be exclusively on the software side. This may be a tad disappointing for folks holding out for a shrunken Dynamic Island cutout, but such an upgrade is not expected to see the light of day until 2026 at the earliest. Further, a true all-screen Apple iPhone is only rumored to arrive toward the end of this decade.

Somewhat unsurprisingly, the exact set of changes expected for the Dynamic Island's UI was not mentioned in Digital Chat Station's Weibo post. As of right now, it does seem that iOS 26 will pack some exciting updates meant solely for the Apple iPhone 17 lineup. It is unclear whether the iPhone 16 and earlier lineups will get the updated UI, but it seems unlikely.

Moreover, DCS also expects the entire iPhone 17 family to boast "ultra-thin" bezels, which we have already covered in a previous piece. With only around two months left until September's launch event, iPhone enthusiasts won't have to wait long to find out what exact changes Apple has planned for its upcoming flagships.
