Xiaomi has just certified a new mobile device with the Chinese 3C authority. The most obvious explanation is that it is of the K30 series - however, a report alleges that it has already been registered under a different model number. Furthermore, this identifier is linked to this line's confirmed 5G status, whereas the strange new one is not.

Xiaomi has just registered a new mobile device with the 3C telecomms regulator in its home country of China. It appears that it will have 2 variants (M1912G7BG and M1912G7BE) and come with a 27-watt (W) charging brick. Therefore, it would seem reasonable to presume that the certification pertains to the upcoming Redmi K30 series. However, other correspondents would disagree with such a theory.

DroidShout has also recently reported that the same OEM has certified another new phone, albeit with the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on this occasion. It has a very different model number - M1911U2E - and is thus thought to be destined for a separate line of devices. This series is hypothesised to be that of the K30. This is based on the M1911U2E's 5G support, a known attribute of the K20s' confirmed successor.

The M1912G7BG and M1912G7BE, on the other hand, have no apparent links to this mobile-data standard. Therefore, it is now proposed that they are next-generation Pocophones - products of an initially popular Xiaomi sub-brand that, despite having been graced with dedicated effort such as its own launcher, is yet to see a second album. Then again, the model number variation on which this new speculation is based may not mean that much: the newer ones could yet turn out to simply be 4G (or non-Pro) variants of the K30.
