The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E5 is now on sale in Spain and is expected to roll out to other European countries in the future. The model is relatively cheap, reflected in the more basic feature set. The robot can mop and vacuum, with various sensors to navigate your home with ease, app-based controls and voice commands.

Xiaomi has launched the Robot Vacuum E5 in Europe. Currently on sale in Spain, the model can vacuum and mop your floors. Compared to other robot vacuums from the brand, it is relatively cheap and has a basic feature set.

The E5 offers up to 2,000Pa suction power, with a tangle-resistant nozzle in the base and brushes on each side to aid dust collection. There is a 400ml dustbin, which Xiaomi suggests reduces the frequency with which it needs emptying, and, for mopping, there is a slim water tank accompanied by a mopping pad. Other features include obstacle avoidance, zigzag style cleaning routes and cliff detection. A 2,600mAh battery allows the robot vacuum to run for up to 110 minutes, and you can control it via the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app or with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant voice commands.

The robot’s body is 300 mm (~12 inches) wide and 70 mm (~2.8 inches) tall, meaning it can quickly move between and underneath many items of furniture. You can now buy the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E5 in Spain for €99.99. It is unclear when the product will be rolled out to other countries like the UK, France, and Germany, where it already sells models like the S12 Robot Vacuum and Mop.
