Reviews for the Xiaomi Redmi Pad
With the Redmi Pad, Xiaomi introduces its first Redmi series tablet. This suggests that the 10.6-inch device offers good features for an affordable price. While the Redmi Tab shines in our review with features such as the 90-Hz display, a sleek metal construction, and long battery life, we also discovered a few weaknesses.

After spending a good amount of time with the Poco Pad 5G, I can say it’s a solid tablet that offers a lot for its price. It’s not perfect—the LCD screen isn't as vibrant as an OLED, and it’s not the best for high-end gaming—but it handles everyday tasks really well. The large 12-inch display is great for watching videos. The sound quality is impressive too, making it feel like you’re watching on a mini TV. The tablet’s performance is smooth for most activities, and the battery life is fantastic—it’ll easily last you a full day of heavy use. Plus, with support for a keyboard and Smart Pen, there’s potential to do a lot more on this device, from casual work tasks to browsing the web.

Personally, I think that Redmi Pad is a very balanced and organic device. It has a classic design, a good screen, high battery life, and good cameras. It doesn’t have any incredible exceptional features, but it doesn’t have a single failure or significant drawback. It is a very marketable product that aims to satisfy all the needs of a middle-class user. The difficulty is how to stand out from the competition in such circumstances, but for some reason you have read this far. In short, this tablet is definitely worth a look as a purchase option for the most utilitarian tasks.

Redmi Tab seems like a well-thought project that materialised the way Xiaomi wanted it to. It not only impressed the first-time users in our office and home but also left a good impression on us. While the competition is tough in this price segment, the Redmi Pad has all the necessary ingredients and support of some nifty features to easily impress potential buyers.

Despite this, the Redmi Pad also has a lot of advantages - it offers quite good performance for tablet applications, and above all, it does not get hot. In addition, it has good 4 speakers and a not bad battery, takes decent photos and looks really beautiful. The whole thing together is really digestible, but once again I will repeat - rather to use at home. As a device that we grab from time to time to read or watch a video, this tablet is the most noteworthy.

The Redmi Pad is the longest-lasting Android device we’ve tested in the last year. The measured battery life is 16 hours, and the continuous playback of 1080P video at station B can last for 18 hours. This figure is roughly 1.5 times that of today’s mainstream mobile phones. In the case of medium and heavy use, it can basically be charged every 2 days. The charging performance is relatively average, and it takes 135 minutes to charge from 0 to 100%. However, considering its long battery life, even if it is used under high load, the number of charging times per week is not much. 10.6-inch 90Hz high-refresh screen, 6+2GB memory, 128GB UFS 2.2 flash memory, 8000mAh large-capacity battery, and 4 speakers. As an entry-level tablet, Redmi Pad has almost no obvious shortcomings in configuration.

Wrapping up this review, Xiaomi has clearly scored another winner with its latest budget tablet. The company has struck a fine balance between affordability, usability, and features, making the Redmi Pad the best budget tablet in the market right now. Other than the software limitations on the base variant and a few other minor drawbacks, this is an excellent budget tablet. And the one to beat for other new newcomers. Redmi has scored a winner with its first attempt at a budget Android tablet. It has struck a fine balance between affordability, usability, and features with the Redmi Pad, making it the best budget tablet in the market right now.

The Redmi Pad has the makings of a decent tablet for entertainment. It has a premium design, a nice screen, immersive speakers, and a big battery. It is competitively priced too at PHP 13,999 for the 4GB + 128GB, and PHP 14,999 for the 6GB + 128GB. It’s positioned better compared to its competitors from other brands. However, it’s priced too close to its cousin the Xiaomi Pad 5. The 6GB + 128GB is now priced at PHP 15,999 and has a better display with a higher refresh rate, a more powerful Snapdragon 860 chipset, faster UFS 3.1 storage, a better camera, and an even bigger battery with faster charging. In this case, I’d recommend just bumping the budget a bit for this one so you can get more hardware for the price.

The Redmi Pad, with all its hardware and software features, is certainly my obvious recommendation for anyone looking to buy an Android tablet under Rs. 20,000. With a capable performance unit, a big battery and a large screen, the Redmi Pad is suitable for a majority of use cases, including gaming. I would recommend buying the 4GB RAM variant or possibly even the 6GB RAM variant. You not only get more storage but also the assurance of a smoother user experience. Some of the key MIUI 13 for Pad features such as split screen, floating windows, multi-window, etc, are not available on the 3GB RAM variant, so it makes sense to skip it.

Save for a somewhat limited multi-window implementation in software (and let's face it, not everyone even cares about multi-window), we can hardly think of any glaring issue with the Redmi Pad. Well, the rather low-spec 64GB/3GB version is to be avoided (this one doesn't support multi-window at all, mind you), but other than that, we see no reason not to recommend the higher tiers (128GB/4GB or 128GB/6GB). It's got one of the best displays you can get for the money - it's as bright as the rest of them at this price point but has no pesky contrast shifts, and it's 90Hz amongst 60Hz competitors. Battery life is towards the top of the class, and the speakers are very good too. On the outside, the metal unibody lends it an air of premiumness. Overall, the Redmi Pad is one of the nicest all-around packages if you're looking for a midrange tablet.

When it comes to picking a tablet, software and hardware both play a critical role. With the Redmi Pad, both work well in sync, though the performance is perhaps not all that it is hyped up to be. Where I think the Redmi Pad enjoys an advantage compared to some others I have reviewed with a similar price tag is with the battery and the display. If you are looking for a budget tablet, the Redmi Pad delivers well for the price.

After spending more than a week with the Redmi Pad, I can say that the company has set the bar for budget tablets. Priced under Rs. 15000, it surprisingly offers better performance and experience than any other tablet in this range. Even compared to more expensive Android tablets, this one offers much better value, and an excellent tablet experience. Considering everything, it is indeed the best option we can recommend for less than Rs. 20000.

This is pretty much the budget tablet everyone has been waiting for since the tablet market revived after the pandemic. Those who find an iPad way too expensive finally have a tablet that looks good, works well, and comes with a price tag that is right out of 2015! Redmi Pad review: At its starting price of Rs 12,999, the Redmi Pad is hands-down the best value-for-money tablet in the Indian market right now.

The Redmi Pad is undoubtedly one of the most value-for-money offerings in the budget tablet market. And, the proof is in the pudding too and the device is backed by a 90Hz 2K panel, a powerful SoC, and quad-speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos. Now, I would’ve liked to see a fingerprint sensor and a headphone jack with the device. Furthermore, the tablet doesn’t support 4G connectivity either. Putting all that aside, the starting price for the Redmi Pad is highly competitive at Rs 14,999, which makes it the tablet to beat in the market.
