Xiaomi Redmi Buds 5 starts globally for under €40 with Bluetooth Multipoint connectivity and titanium drivers
The Redmi Buds 5 has arrived in Europe alongside the Redmi Note 13 series, Redmi Buds 5 Pro and Redmi Watch 4. For context, Xiaomi has been selling the Redmi Buds 5 in China since the end of September 2023. Since then, the company also released the Redmi Buds 5 Pro in its home market, the global launch of which we have covered separately.
To recap, the Redmi Buds 5 supports Bluetooth 5.3 and Bluetooth Multipoint connectivity, which Xiaomi complements with 12.4 mm titanium drivers. Additionally, the earbuds are said to attenuate up to 46 dB of background noise thanks to active noise cancellation (ANC) and should last 8 hours between charges with ANC activated. Moreover, the earbuds are IP54 certified but only support AAC and SBC Bluetooth codecs, unlike the Redmi Buds 5 Pro.
The Redmi Buds 5 is available for €39.99 in the Eurozone in Black, Sky Blue and White colours. It is worth noting that Sky Blue is not a uniform colour, as the photo above shows. Instead, Xiaomi has given its interior a light green finish. Please see the company's website for more details.
