FiiO CP13 to launch before spring 2024 as new cassette player with modern touches

FiiO is preparing to release a new product, not long after presenting the FW5, R9 and the FT5, as well as the K3 keyboard. While the latter is rather unusual for FiiO, considering its product stack, the CP13 arguably takes it a step further. As the picture above shows, the CP13 is a cassette player, a company first.

Seemingly, the FiiO CP13 will be available in multiple colours, each with aluminium housings and a window for viewing the current cassette. Moreover, all units have four top-mounted buttons for controlling audio playback, plus a 3.5 mm jack, a USB Type-C port and a volume dial on their right-hand sides. Additionally, the FiiO CP13 will automatically rewind a cassette once it reaches its end and is said to deliver up to 15 hours of playback between charges.

At the time of writing, FiiO hopes to begin selling the CP13 in under two months' time. Specifically, Gear News mentions an early March 2024 release, with a £129 target price. Unfortunately, FiiO has not provided any other specifics yet, nor does the company list the CP13 on its website.
