Xiaomi Bluetooth Remote 2 Pro debuts with NFC screen cast and USB-C charging

Xiaomi has introduced the Bluetooth Remote 2 Pro in China, and it seems to be packed with features. Among all, the most interesting one is the NFC screen casting function. As the company notes, with it, users can use the remote to cast their phone's display to a connected TV.

This feature may seem redundant, as most smart TVs and TV boxes already have a built-in screen-casting function, but it aims to cut out the multi-step nature of these casting functions. With NFC, a quick tap on the remote would be all that's needed to mirror the phone's display on the big display.

Another notable highlight is its minimalist design. The Bluetooth Remote 2 Pro only has the essential buttons, and there's a dedicated AI voice assistant button for voice commands. Xiaomi further highlights that it has a slim and lightweight build to enhance user comfort.

Speaking of the buttons, this smart TV remote has a customizable button. Users can bind any function to it for quick access. For example, it can be assigned to switch inputs, which will come in handy for setups with multiple input sources.

A 300 mAh battery powers the Xiaomi Bluetooth Remote 2 Pro, and it charges via Type-C. As for the compatibility, the company notes that it's widely compatible with Redmi and Xiaomi TVs and TV boxes, and with Bluetooth 5.4, the brand promises stable connectivity.
