Xiaomi might have restricted 'international' availability for the 14 series to Europe on its MWC 2024 debut; however, it has now officially been introduced to the Indian market as its latest Leica-branded, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered premium smartphones.
As before, the line-up consists of the vanilla 14 and then the top-end 14 Ultra, with the Pro version remaining exclusive to the Chinese market as before. Then again, Xiaomi indicates that the Sony LYT-900-powered latter will bring the white and black vegan leather iterations of its "timeless design" with it to its new region, whereas the plain 14's "Precision"-crafted glass will seemingly be available in green as well as black.
Reservations for the new series of flagship handsets will not be open until March 11, 2024; however, Xiaomi has revealed that the new devices will start from INR 59,999 (~$725) for the 14 to a whopping INR 99,999 (~$1,208) for the Ultra.
Then again, the 2 devices were also released at €999 (~$1,093) and €1,499.90 (~$1,640) on the European market - where they are reportedly out-selling their predecessors nonetheless. Accordingly, it will be interesting to see if they do as well in their latest market.
Even if not, other interesting devices such as the 14 Ultra-mimicking, yet much more affordable, Redmi A3 are still available on Amazon.in.
