Xiaomi 12 Ultra launch date potentially leaks with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus onboard

The Xiaomi 12 Ultra appears to be set to launch soon, with a leaked poster seemingly making the rounds on Weibo revealing the phone's launch date. Some other listed features include an in-house ISP, CyperFocus, and Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus.

The Xiaomi 12 Ultra is on the way. Multiple leaks have surfaced over the past week revealing details and the design of the upcoming Xiaomi flagship phone, and it now appears launch may be imminent, with a poster seemingly revealing when the phone will make its debut.

Courtesy of an image making the rounds on Chinese social media platform Weibo, it seems the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will launch on June 21. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra looks to be a camera-centric phone—its rear design highly indicates that as well—and the poster alludes to it. Reportedly, the text on the image translates to:

"Self-innovated Surge ISP Chip | CyperFocus That Locks Focus on All | Super Flagship Image Processing System"

Or something similar anyway. Either way, if this image is valid, it highlights Xiaomi's lofty photography aspirations for the flagship. In addition, the image confirms that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be equipped with Qualcomm's next flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus will make its debut on May 20 and will be a performance and efficiency upgrade on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powering the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro.
